Save recipes from Instagram Reels, not just the Reel
Instagram's Saved folder keeps the post, not the ingredients. And recipes on Instagram hide where a screenshot misses them: said out loud in the Reel, on slide seven of a carousel, or in a comment the creator asks you to request.
Share the Reel or post to BiteVault. It reads the caption and saves the recipe to your Vault with ingredients and steps. With Pro it also listens to the Reel and reads every slide of a carousel. No Instagram login needed.
Share the Reel to BiteVault. Tap the share icon on the Reel or post and pick BiteVault from your phone's share options. Or copy the link and paste it into the app.
It does the reading. It reads the caption and pulls out the recipe. With Pro it also transcribes the Reel and reads each carousel slide. Close the app if you like; it tells you when the recipe has landed.
Cook from it. Ingredients, numbered steps and timings in your Vault. Pro adds cook mode, which keeps the screen awake one step at a time, plus timers and a shopping list.
Recipes in the comments. Instagram never shares comments with apps. When a creator says the recipe is in the comments, the app tells you and lets you paste it in.
Private and restricted accounts. Posts from private or age-restricted accounts cannot be read, and the app says so instead of guessing.
No login. You never connect your Instagram account. The app only reads the post you share.
Facebook links are not supported yet. Instagram, TikTok, recipe websites and Google Maps links are.
Do I need to log in to Instagram?
No. BiteVault never asks for your Instagram account. It reads the public post you share.
Does it work on Android?
Yes. BiteVault is on Google Play and the App Store, and works in any browser at bitevault.app with the same account.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan holds 50 saves in your Vault with 30 new saves a month, and allergen and gluten flags are free on every plan. Your first 14 days include Pro, which listens to the video. Pro is from A$3.33 a month on the yearly plan.
