A Paprika alternative for the recipes you find in videos
Paprika is one of the best recipe managers there is for recipe websites. But more and more of the recipes worth keeping are in a TikTok or a Reel, where the amounts are said out loud and never written down.
BiteVault is built for those. Share the video and the recipe is saved with ingredients and steps, read from the caption, and with Pro from what the creator says too. It also saves the restaurants from food videos onto your own map, and works on Android, iPhone and the web with one account.
Keep Paprika for your archive if you like. Plenty of people keep a big Paprika library and use BiteVault for what they find on TikTok and Instagram. Nothing stops you running both.
Share videos to BiteVault. Tap Share on a TikTok or Reel and pick BiteVault. It writes the recipe out and flags allergens.
Bring over favourites by link. There is no Paprika import. For the recipes you cook most, paste the original recipe website link and it is saved the same way.
You want to pay once. Paprika is a one-time purchase on each platform. BiteVault is free for 50 saves, with Pro as a subscription or a one-off lifetime purchase.
You use Windows or track your pantry. Paprika has a Windows app and a pantry tracker. BiteVault does not.
Your recipes all come from websites. That is what Paprika does best.
Your recipes come from videos, or you want the restaurants from them on a map: that is what BiteVault is for.
Can I import my Paprika library?
Not yet. There is no Paprika import. Paste the original recipe links for the ones you want, or keep Paprika for your archive and use BiteVault for new finds.
Does it work on Android?
Yes. BiteVault is on Google Play and the App Store, and works in any browser at bitevault.app with the same account.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan holds 50 saves in your Vault with 30 new saves a month, and allergen and gluten flags are free on every plan. Your first 14 days include Pro, which listens to the video. Pro is from A$3.33 a month on the yearly plan.
