A ReciMe alternative for the recipes and the restaurants you save
ReciMe is good at turning a food video into a recipe. But half the food videos you save are not recipes at all. They are the ramen place, the bakery with the queue, the "top 10 cafes" list, and those end up nowhere.
BiteVault saves both from the same share button. A cooking video becomes a recipe with ingredients and steps. A restaurant video becomes a pin on your own map, checked against Google, with opening hours and directions. Every recipe gets allergen and gluten flags, free.
Get BiteVault. On Google Play, the App Store, or in any browser at bitevault.app. Sign in with Google or Apple.
Share the next food video you find. Tap Share and pick BiteVault. Tell it whether you are saving a recipe or a place, and it does the rest.
Bring over the recipes you cook. There is no ReciMe import. Share the original videos or recipe links for the ones you actually make, and let the rest go.
You save from YouTube, Facebook or Pinterest. ReciMe imports from all three. BiteVault takes TikTok, Instagram, recipe websites and Google Maps links, not those.
You photograph cookbook pages. ReciMe reads screenshots and photos of printed recipes. BiteVault does not.
You only ever save recipes. If restaurants never come into it, the map is the part of BiteVault you would not use.
Everything else, especially saving where to eat and knowing what is in a recipe before you cook it, is what BiteVault was built for.
Can I import my ReciMe recipes?
Not directly. There is no import from ReciMe. Share the original TikTok, Reel or recipe website for each recipe you want, and BiteVault saves it again from the source.
Does it listen to the video like ReciMe does?
Yes, with Pro. It transcribes what the creator says and reads the text on screen, so amounts that only appear out loud are caught. Your first 14 days include Pro.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan holds 50 saves in your Vault with 30 new saves a month, and allergen and gluten flags are free on every plan. Your first 14 days include Pro, which listens to the video. Pro is from A$3.33 a month on the yearly plan.
